Installs, maintains and provides user assistance for computer hardware and software including installing cables and peripherals, testing data line connections, performing inventory control and troubleshooting problems
 Job Requirement:
Education/Experience:
Equivalent to two (2) years of college level course work in computer sciences or a closely related field and experience in the installation and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software, OR; two (2) years of experience in the installation and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software. 
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
None required.
 Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements:
Prefer:
  • Experience with Windows 7 environment
  • Experience with MS Office 2007 support
 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements:
Knowledge of:Computer and LAN hardware and software; documentation and user instruction methods and techniques; record keeping principles and practices; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and procedures; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
Skill in:
Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software; using and instructing others in the use of computer hardware and software; performing preventive maintenance on computers and peripherals; inventorying computers and peripherals; maintaining clear and accurate records of work performed; preparing clear and concise user documentation, instructions, etc.; using initiative and independent judgement within established procedural guidelines; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment, stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for extended periods of time, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

POSITION SUMMARY
The incumbent in this position is responsible for monitoring, configuring, maintaining, installation, and removal of property technology hardware and software; responsible for basic troubleshooting of all technology problems associated with property technology; maintain user security for all systems; responsible for providing IT service desk support for all Team Members and other users of property technology.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
(The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive for specific positions.)
1. Provide telephone, remote, or in-person IT service and support to all Team Members or other HRH technology users.
2. Record all Help Desk interactions according to IT procedures.
3. Resolve basic to intermediate technology problems.
4. Setup and prepare technological equipment for operation, in accordance with Information Technology policies and user needs.
5. Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware and software on all systems.  Utilize contracted vendors for assistance as needed in the troubleshooting process.
6. Perform preventative maintenance procedures on all technological equipment on a scheduled basis.
7. BEO technology setup and breakdown as requested.
8. Communicate as directed with all Team Members and non-HRH technology users regarding technological upgrades, system maintenance, or other technology related information.
9. Functional knowledge of property network infrastructure including IDF locations, wireless configuration, and network topology.
10. Basic i5 operations including error monitoring, user security, and printing.
11. Inventory equipment, software, and other HRH technology.
12. Maintain compliance with Gaming, Sarbanes-Oxley, and PCI requirements.
13. Remain cognizant of changes in technology.
14. Perform tape rotations required by IT policies and procedures
15. Any other functions deemed necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Must have ability to:
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise and vibration.
• Work with hazards such as cleaning chemicals, ink, or other chemicals and paper dust.
• Assimilate information and clearly communicate with users, management staff or vendors.
• Observe and direct actions of trainees and to maintain required logs.
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Work in physical nature including but not limited to balancing, bending, carrying, climbing, crawling and reaching.  These actions are required in order to install and replace terminals, printers and associated equipment.
• Use a computer keyboard.
• Diagnose potential problems with and replace peripheral devices without supervision.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Help Desk and IT operations. Familiarity with various PC, POS, and printer hardware and software platforms. Familiarity with i5 software. Good technical and communication skills. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through six months to one year experience in a computer operator or technical support position.

Job Summary:

Ascension Health Information Services (AHIS), located at St. Joseph Health System in Tawas City, MI is seeking to hire
an experienced Application Support Analyst who understands Home Health and Hospice business operations in order
to translate business requirements into the configuration of a functional and user friendly Home Care Information System.

This position is Full time; 40 hours per week.  The work schedule is flexible and can be discussed at the time

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
  • Possesses a basic understanding of the principles of information technology.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for end-user inquiries.
  • Applies technical knowledge to provide basic support and troubleshooting for the end-user.
  • Forms productive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively. Responds to user problems and explains technology.
  • Coordinates completion of specific categories of end-user requests.
