DescriptionOVERALL JOB PURPOSE
This position is responsible for
developing and maintaining security procedures, documentation, and standards to ensure optimum information security; Coordinate the handling and resolution of security incidents; Serves as the key contact between the IS Security Department and HealthCare Partners of Nevada (HCPNV) computer user community; Monitors compliance with HCPNV IS security policies; Working with the other Information Services Department members, the incumbent will, perform or coordinate network penetration tests, application vulnerability assessment scans and risk assessment reviews and audits. Incumbent will also identify security deficiencies and recommends appropriate remedial actions.

RequirementsMINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:

1 or 2 years of post-high school education or a degree from a two-year college.

Bachelor’s degree preferred

GIAC, CompTIA Security+, and/or CISSP Certified preferred

Experience:

Over 5 years of relevant Information Technology work experience.

Over 3 years of system, network and/or application data security experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Computer literate.

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Access, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint).

Familiar with voice, data, video and wireless networks.

Client/server application security experience.

Experience/exposure to healthcare information systems.

Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley audits preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of network related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
