The Position
Information Technology (IT) Technicians install, configure, monitor, and maintain networks and monitor and maintain help desk user support or mainframe and server operations.
Incumbents perform in a trainee capacity and acquire the knowledge, skills and abilities required in this occupation. OR Incumbents perform basic tasks or elements of the job not requiring the additional knowledge, skills and abilities to perform at the next level in the series.
DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME. Assisting Assistant Director with testing, reviewing and implementing several functions of PeopleSoft and OnBase. As well as maintaining the Office of the Registrar Web Page and calendar and assisting departments with Office of the Registrar concerns. This position will assist with the design of People Soft queries and utilize a query based update (QBU) to update records effectively; test in a testing environment prior to making changes in production; assist with the design and development of reports that provide data for ad-hoc staff requests. Utilize Microsoft Excel and/or Access to collect, analyze and provide report data to Assistant Director for institutional, state and federal reporting and assist in the review all bundle notes and identify those that affect the Admission, Student Records and Academic Advising modules. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of an extensive background check. Please note: This position will be subject to the State mandated six (prorated) unpaid furlough days for a total of 2.3% pay reduction per year for the period July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2015.
