As a Tech Support Analyst you would work as a part of a dynamic team involved with providing technical support and issue resolution to internal and external customers which may include users of all types and skill levels. Responsibilities may also include security access processing, ID tracking, maintenance of reporting logs, password reset assistance, PC hardware/software inventory checks and stocking of spare parts as well as more advanced troubleshooting and support.

Positions in this function provide local technical support to UnitedHealth Groups computer user community. Includes installations, upgrades, computing problem resolution, diagnosis of issue severity, recovery and project implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Answer and resolve inbound technical calls at a large corporate Help Desk, efficiently and professionally, in a fast paced call center environment
  • Troubleshoot corporate applications with the use of a Knowledge Base and assign issues to the appropriate support group as needed
  • Follow all escalation procedures according to service level agreement
  • Use remote control tool to assist end users when needed

The position of the IT Systems Analyst Trainer responsibilities with includes but not be limited to:
  • Conduct application software training for new and existing providers, nurses and/or support staff
  • Develop and maintain training material that includes departmental processes, procedures and/or workflows
  • Develop competency tools for each application software system
    Coordinate, schedule and communicate standard and ad-hoc training classes
  • Gather training requirements to assist in the development of customized training programs
  • Analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary
  • Analysis of moderately complex business and information systems environments
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings which will include, conduct project training; including the documentation of departmental workflows and developing the training approach
  • Acts as liaison between systems software development staff, management and system end users
  • Prepare and conduct executive level presentations for application software systems
  • The analyst will participate in user acceptance testing, gather business requirements, provide tier 2 issue resolution, and provide after-hours on call support
