Job FunctionPerform day-to-day tactical and operational functions in support of 24/7/365 data center operations. Perform installation and support of IT systems in Las Vegas, (racks, cabling, network, server, storage, security, and monitoring tools). Maintain overall functionality of the Las Vegas data center, escalating issues as necessary. Respond to human and machine-generated alerts (temperature, humidity, security, etc.), triaging and escalating as necessary. Interface with internal partners and contractors supporting IT and Facilities maintenance, MEP Engineers, and Business Unit Leads to support business objectives.
ResponsibilitiesTo ensure the appropriate execution of responsibilities, the candidate will be required to work closely with IT partners across multiple technologies, building strong relationships that ensure successful execution of day-to-day operational tasks as well as project-specific activities under tight schedules. the ITOS Engineer will perform IT system moves, adds, removes, and changes within controlled data center environments following established procedures and contributing to our continuous process improvement goals. The ITOS Engineer will help troubleshoot issues, support cross-organizational efforts, take part in on-call rotation, and will respond to mission-critical situations.
Skills/ExperienceThis position will be supporting projects and data center operations in Las Vegas, NV. We are searching for a dynamic, dedicated self-starter. An individual who possesses skills and experience across numerous IT disciplines including; copper and fiber infrastructure cabling, Cisco inter-networking, Windows, Linux, Unix and ESX server administration, Data Management Systems (SAN, NAS, DAS), IT and Facilities related monitoring and management tools and data center power and cooling technologies and best practices. Experience and a working knowledge in both IT and Facilities infrastructure and operations is essential.
Education RequirementsPreferred: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Networks & Systems and/or Computer Science and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
