Summary
The System Administrator’s primary focus is on day-to-day server operations, resolving customer issues, maintaining proper operation of the NVHC network environment and maintaining applications critical to the operations of  NVHC. Will perform diagnostics, resolve problems, escalate problems to vendors as required, work with other group members, and take appropriate actions to assure appropriate and prompt solutions to system, application, and customer problems.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years experience in hardware/software support within an enterprise environment.
One or more years experience working in a Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 environment in an administrative capacity.
 One or more years experience working in a Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 environment in an administrative capacity.
Intermediate level Systems Administrator on Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory.
 Intermediate level Systems Administrator on Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010 in an administrative capacity.

Role

Handles day to day support calls from NVHC Helpdesk
Design and/or implements new programs, as requested
Solicits, records, reviews, creates, simplifies, and implements suggestions for improving organizational procedures utilizing established processes
Assists in creations of new or simplifying current processes
 Coordinates operating/system improvement needs with supervisor
Monitors and maintains updates to NVHC website
Maintains confidentiality of all information contained in NVHC system
Travels when necessary
Assist in maintaining network security
Assists in ensuring data integrity
Conducts/coordinates employee training; as needed
 Trains volunteers
Coordinates and conducts computer in-service training
Ensures proper computer procedures are followed as per NVHC policy and procedure
Performs other work related duties as requested by supervisor

Nevada Health Centers, Inc. (NVHC) is a federally funded Community Health Center Program (CHC) that has operated medical centers in Nevada for over 30 years. NVHC now operates 24 medical and dental centers throughout the state, including health-screening services via our Nevada Health Centers Mammovan, which consist of mammograms, breast exams, and pap smears, our Miles for Smiles Dental Bus, that offers exams, cleanings, fillings, restorative services, fluoride treatments, extractions, x-rays and oral health education. We also operate a centralized pharmacy that provides 9 of our frontier clinics and our Health Care for the Homeless clinic in Las Vegas with dispensaries and we currently operate 7 WIC Centers throughout Clark County.

NVHC provides outpatient care to clinic patients, ensuring quality health care services to all people, regardless of where they live or their ability to pay. Our health clinics are strategically located in many rural and frontier regions and in the urban areas of Las Vegas. NVHC is currently operating fifteen (15) clinics, staffed by physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Our clinics provide primary health care in the following locations: Amargosa Valley, Austin, Beatty, Carlin, Crescent Valley, Carson City, Elko, Eureka, Jackpot, West Wendover and in the Las Vegas area, the Cambridge Family Health Center, North Las Vegas Family Health Center, Eastern Family Medical and Dental Center, Martin Luther King Family Health Center, and the Las Vegas Outreach Clinic.

Each eligible for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp, with a commitment service to NVHC. Our clinics provide family practice and pediatric services, which include well child care and immunizations, preventive care, care for illnesses, care for chronic conditions, senior health care, health education and the clinic provides OB/GYN services that provide prenatal care and delivery and special gynecological care
