BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for supporting internal desktop and laptop customers, in both hardware and software.
Responsibilities include: hardware installation and removal, hardware upgrades and repairs, fulfilling desktop provisioning requests, desktop software troubleshooting and responding to desktop trouble tickets. Also responsible for supporting Lotus Notes and Blackberry devices.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience;
2) 0 years of IT work experience in supporting desktop software and hardware products and problems solving/troubleshooting;
3) Performs routine assignments in the entry level to a professional role;
4) 2-3 years experience using Windows/XP;
5) 2-3 years experience with Microsoft Office tools;
6) Experience supporting Lotus Notes a plus;
7) Experience supporting Blackberry devices a plus
Technical certificates a plus;
8) Receives significant instruction, guidance and direction from others;
9) Uses existing procedures to solve routine or basic problems
10) Learns needed skills by performing assigned work;
11) Learns to work autonomously.
