Description | OVERALL JOB PURPOSE Position is responsible for providing technical assistance and performing high-volume, routine up to complex tasks necessary to configure, install, monitor, manage and improve the functionality of the Windows Server environment and server-based software applications throughout HealthCare Partners of Nevada (HCPNV). Responsibilities include configuring new client/ server implementations, storage area network (SAN), enterprise email, and advanced management of Microsoft Active Directory. Assists in managing and supporting company virtualization environments and Citrix environments. Assists in diagnosing,resolving and documenting hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training and support where required. Requirements | MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology related field Preferred Certifications Microsoft Software Certifications Information Technology hardware vendor Certifications Experience: 6 years of relevant information technology work experience. Required 4 years Server hardware and software support Required 4 years Microsoft related server software Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of commonly-used concepts and procedures with the IT/IS field Proficient in Microsoft applications (Access, Excel, Word, Project, Visio) Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory Computer and related computer hardware troubleshooting Ability to work from job order tickets with little supervision Ability to think logically and use problem-solving skills Ability to work with very detailed information Ability to handle fluctuating volumes of work and prioritize to meet deadlines and needs of the user community Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, and TCP/IP Working knowledge of file share permissions Working knowledge of Microsoft server software Working knowledge of data backup and restore procedures Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks(SAN) Must have a valid State issued driver’s license Working Knowledge of Virtual Machine environments - VMWare, Hyper V, etc. Preferred Working knowledge of Citrix Applications - XenApp, XenServer, etc. Preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Preferred Working knowledge of Electronic Healthcare Software Preferred |
