Position Summary
Under minimal supervision, responds to requests from users for new or modified systems. This may involve planning, designing and analyzing various programs or software. Consults with users to identify current operating procedures for single departmental changes, define system requirements and determine programming and/or application functional requirements. Recommends technical and procedural design for new or revised applications, including system specifications and programming guidelines. Upon approval, may perform work on the masterfile. May write documentation to describe application changes for program development and corrections. Competent to work in most phases of application systems analysis, but may require guidance in others.
Preferred experience/Unique Requirements include: This position requires a strong understanding of various revenue cycle client/server applications, basic programming knowledge and effective troubleshooting skills. This individual would be accountable for collaborating with the customers of these applications to understand their needs, develop system specifications and designs, recommend applications strategies and generate models to accommodate the request. Experience with, Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Cerner, Epic, HealthQuest, Citrix Metaframe and Interface Integration is preferred.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in in computer science or related field, or other degree with equivalent experience.
Experience - 2 years of experience in the planning, design, testing, implementation, support and analysis of programs and software., Experience in systems development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and design.., Participant in multiple phases of an integrated system implementation., Background in a health care, sciences or information systems.
